A Customer Awareness Message from the owner of LegendsCon and Legends Consortium LLC:
What is happening:
This is a customer awareness message, as we at Legends Consortium LLC are aware that another group of individuals has attempted to claim that the first LegendsCon, the Legends Consortium LLC event that took place on 09-09-2023 and 09-10-2023 at the Marriott Convention Center, located at 2500 N Hollywood Way, Burbank, CA 91505, was of their making and is their property; they have claimed ownership of the first LegendsCon event and have ‘rebranded’ Legends Consortium LLC’s event, LegendsCon, as well as content created for and owned by Legends Consortium LLC to promote LegendsCon, with a different name and an unauthorized logo without my consent; they then disseminated this ‘rebranded’ content on various platforms that are being utilized to advertise for an event that is not and has never been associated with LegendsCon without my consent.
History of the company:
I, Kyle Rawlings, have owned Legends Consortium LLC since its inception and ultimate creation in 2022; Legends Consortium LLC's only other founder and co-owner was Patrick, and he was my business partner from October, 2022, until the end of 2023, as he gave me his 50% ownership of Legends Consortium LLC and thus LegendsCon, making me the sole owner of the company. The trademark for ‘LegendsCon’ belongs to me.
I understand that there has been confusion about both the current and former team. Select volunteers of the 2023 team were dismissed and informed by myself personally that they were no longer volunteers of Legends Consortium LLC in any capacity during a meeting that took place on 10/09/2023 -not 10/18/2023- due to creating a toxic environment before, after, and during the previous convention that severely and negatively impacted individuals -not myself- to the degree that would be considered alarming to any given person. As I’m the owner of Legends Consortium LLC, the person who financed the first LegendsCon and who is financing LegendsCon II, please understand that some decisions are difficult, but there are values and principles that I shall uphold despite threats of retaliation- one of those principles I will forever standby is that all people have the right to feel comfortable while volunteering for Legends Consortium LLC or attending a Legends Consortium event, as Legends Consortium LLC does not tolerate toxic behavior no matter what falsehoods are made against the company or myself.
Why Things appear confusing online Today:
Towards the end of 2023, Patrick gave me his 50% ownership of the company to add to my own 50%, and it was apparent that Legends Consortium LLC had already developed into a team of amazing people, true professionals in their respective fields. We then decided to begin planning LegendsCon II.
Legends Consortium was not as organized then as it is today as we prepare for LegendsCon II, and not all of our social media accounts and sites were run by me or Legends Consortium's previous co-owner, but rather now-disgruntled, former volunteers that were dismissed from Legends Consortium LLC on 10-09-2023, hence why some of our previous social media pages and web-assets are- illegally as I understand it- ‘rebranding’ LegendsCon and Legends Consortium LLC content, social media accounts, and websites to gain business by attempting to claim ownership of LegendsCon. All former volunteers have been told that they are not to speak for Legends Consortium LLC, as they no longer represent Legends Consortium LLC nor LegendsCon in any capacity. The majority of the content found on our former pages remains to be Legends Consortium LLC and LegendsCon content at this time, and we've made it easy to identify all of our current social media accounts, as they are all listed here at https://www.legendsconofficial.com/ and https://linktr.ee/LegendsConOfficial.
There was not a desire to make this customer awareness message, but as people are now claiming ownership of LegendsCon in the public and sowing confusion, attempting to hurt this community, this business, and the businesses that are participating in LegendsCon II that are trying to raise money for charity, something needed to be said, and my business and trademark must be defended after such blatant infringement. The Legends Consortium LLC team of 2024 is working tirelessly to bring you LegendsCon II in Arlington, Texas, in March of 2025, and they deserve all our thanks for making an event dedicated to the EU a reality once more for our community, the community of Arlington, and the charity we are supporting.
Important Information for patrons of LegendsCon:
